Job Description:
We are in search of a skilled Foundry Inspector to join our team. This role involves overseeing foundry operations, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in foundry operations or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately.
- Proficiency in operating X-Ray equipment and conducting defect identification.
- Understanding of the impact of defects on product quality.
- Experience with spectro sample preparation and chemical analysis.
- Knowledge of hydrogen analysis, K-Mold processes, and specific gravity analysis.
- Ability to prepare and test UTM (Universal Testing Machine) samples and metallography samples.
- Proficiency in analyzing microstructures and conducting in-process inspections.
- Familiarity with customer-specific requirements, 5S principles, and the 7 QC tools.
- Experience in maintaining spectro meters and other inspection equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate X-Ray equipment to conduct defect identification and ensure product quality.
- Analyze the impact of defects on product quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare spectro samples and conduct chemical analysis to verify material composition.
- Perform hydrogen analysis and K-Mold processes to ensure casting integrity.
- Conduct specific gravity analysis to monitor material density and quality.
- Prepare and test UTM samples to assess material strength and properties.
- Prepare metallography samples and analyze microstructures to detect any abnormalities.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements.
- Implement 5S principles to maintain cleanliness and organization in the foundry area.
- Utilize the 7 QC tools to identify and address quality issues effectively.
- Perform maintenance on spectro meters and other inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
