Position Summary
The Polymerization operator is responsible for accurately preparing and measuring all monomers and auxiliary materials used in the polymerization process. This includes precise weighing, concentration control, safe handling of chemicals, proper documentation, and strict adherence to operational standards to ensure consistent and stable polymerization reactions.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with laboratory personnel to accurately measure monomer content and calculate ingredient dosages based on actual test results.
- Weigh all auxiliary materials for each batch with high accuracy; weighing must be done based on actual measurement, not purchase weight. Perform at least one weighing check per shift to prevent errors.
- Ensure the final mixture concentration stays within the required range; investigate and adjust any deviations to maintain consistent material concentrations for polymerization and prevent reaction instability or product quality issues.
- Use auxiliary materials carefully, ensuring bags and containers are clean to avoid contamination and minimize raw material waste.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to prevent skin burns or other injuries while handling materials.
- Maintain complete, accurate operational records, and conduct proper shift handovers to ensure continuity of work.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors or department leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or above.
- Completion of required safety training, operational skills training, and factory rules and regulations training.
- Ability to operate production equipment safely and correctly.
- Basic understanding of measurement, weighing accuracy, and concentration control is an asset.
- Careful, disciplined, and attentive to detail.
- Strong sense of safety, responsibility, and compliance with procedures
