Position Summary

The Monomer Refining Operator is responsible for preparing, refining, and supplying monomer materials and purified water that meet strict quality specifications for the polymerization process. This role ensures safe, stable, and compliant operation of refining equipment and storage systems while maintaining proper documentation and contributing to a clean, orderly working environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure a stable and compliant supply of raw monomers (AM) and purified water according to required specifications (AM: content ≥25%, pH 6–8, conductivity ≤5 μS/cm; purified water: pH 6–8, conductivity ≤5 μS/cm).
  • Operate all equipment strictly in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor monomer concentration, conductivity, pH, and feed volume to ensure all parameters remain within approved limits.
  • Prevent leakage, spills, and overfeeding during monomer exchange operations.
  • Clean single-monomer storage tanks following proper procedures, ensuring recovered refined monomer is removed before starting water rinsing.
  • Perform tank-cleaning activities under the supervision of the team leader.
  • Regenerate resin exchange columns using acid and alkali solutions, ensuring chemical ratios fully meet process requirements.
  • Receive and store crude monomer safely and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of refined monomer withdrawals for both polymerization production lines.
  • Conduct routine inspections of fine and coarse monomer tank areas, related equipment, and pipelines to ensure proper functioning.
  • Identify and promptly report abnormal equipment or process conditions, assisting with corrective actions to maintain safe, continuous operation.
  • Flush or purge all relevant pipelines including loading lines, tank circulation lines, series pipelines above and below the refining tank, and Line 2 discharge lines using purified water or compressed air after each operation.
  • Maintain high standards of environmental sanitation and housekeeping within the assigned work area.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the team leader or supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or above.
  • Previous experience in chemical production or industrial operations is an asset but not required.
  • Completion of mandatory safety training, operational skills training, and factory rules and regulations training.
  • Responsible, disciplined, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Demonstrates reliable teamwork, clear communication, and professional conduct.
  • Able to operate production equipment strictly in accordance with SOPs.
  • Basic understanding of chemical parameters such as pH, conductivity, and concentration (preferred).
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures, hazard controls, and proper handling of chemical materials.
