The Slickline Operator will be responsible for performing slickline operations, including the installation, maintenance, and retrieval of downhole tools and equipment. The operator will ensure efficient and safe well intervention activities in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Slickline Operations:
- Conduct slickline operations including gauge cutting, setting and retrieving plugs, shifting sleeves, fishing operations, and running bottom hole pressure and temperature gauges.
- Operate and maintain slickline equipment, including the slickline cable, reel unit, and pressure control equipment.
- Execute tasks related to well intervention and maintenance with precision and safety.
- Monitor well control parameters and calculations before and during Service applications.
- Responsible for executing efficient activities and ensuring quality through the execution of service according to plan,
- Perform pre- and post- Service Equipment inspections.
- Responsible to operate TRSSSV during Slick line operation.
- In case of slick line operator attends plug scope, then they shall be trained and qualified by OEM for assembling, installing/retrieving plugs
Equipment Maintenance:
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot slickline tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on slickline units and associated equipment.
- Assemble and prepare Equipment for installation and service
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements during all operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Take responsibility for safe crane and rigging operations during the delivery of the Services

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all slickline operations, including job reports, equipment usage, and maintenance logs.
- Provide detailed job reports and feedback to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers, supervisors, and rig personnel, to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or training in slickline operations or related fields is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in slickline operations or similar well intervention activities.
- Proven track record of performing slickline tasks safely and efficiently.
- Valid IWCF well control certificate (Level-4).
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of slickline equipment and operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Excellent understanding of well control and pressure control equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including remote oilfield locations.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and operating heavy equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in well control or slickline operations.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for slickline operations.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in remote and potentially harsh environments, including desert and offshore locations.
Extended hours and rotational shifts may be required.
