Job Title: Asset Management Engineer
Contract: 1-Year Renewable
Experience: 4 to 6 Years
Location: Muscat, Oman

Job Purpose:

The Asset Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of power and water assets. The role involves optimizing asset performance, conducting technical evaluations, and supporting the company’s strategic asset management initiatives in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Asset Performance & Reliability:
  • Monitor the performance of power and water assets to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze asset performance data and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for asset-related issues.
2. Lifecycle & Maintenance Planning:
  • Develop asset lifecycle plans, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and replacement strategies.
  • Support the implementation of condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize asset utilization and longevity.
3. Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Identify asset-related risks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards, environmental regulations, and health & safety requirements.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and regulatory submissions.
4. Data Analytics & Reporting:
  • Utilize asset management software and tools to track asset health and performance.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Support digitalization initiatives to enhance asset management practices.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Support:
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, consultants, and service providers.
  • Provide technical support for procurement, tendering, and contract management related to asset maintenance and upgrades.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive asset optimization initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in asset management, maintenance engineering, or reliability engineering within the power and water sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in asset management principles (ISO 55000 preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation, water desalination, or transmission & distribution systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
